Thanks to the collection sharing and article shared by Mr Petter Khaw through The Star, 25/08/2017. I do agreed it is another piece of pearl hasn't known by most collectors today.
My reading review:
Firstly I do agreed to the stand of Mr. Peter Khaw that this premium certificate embedded with a lot of historical value expecially the transition period of British Administrative Government to Federation of Malaya and the financial distress faced by our government in that time. This bond certificate also opens our eye about the bond issuance and repayment methodology in 1950s' in which the computer technology was not risen yet.
According to my collection hunting exposure in the past ten years, the remaining numbers of such certs are highly possibly less than 10 pieces (it could be lesser indeed), some of them are affixed with the stamps of local bank such as Standard Charter or local post office just like the collection of Mr. Peter Khaw.
The printing of this bond certificate is just like the note printing features as 1950's, it contains water marks and some light embossing threads.
