Malaysia 1990 50 sen in MS66PL or proof like condition, this is only single piece found in population reports of established grading companies until today (01/09/2015). Kindly refer to the video illustration as below, you may find the some mirror effect on the both coin surfaces. This is an unique coin example that I have seen insofar.
What is proof like?
Let see how Mayer Mint GMBH Germany said about proof like coin:
Proof-like coins are considered to be inferior to full proof coins, but superior to regular B.U. (brilliant uncirculated) coins, which is the normal quality of freshly minted circulation coins.
Proof-like coins differ from proof coins in that:
- The blanks and dies must not necessarily be polished to a full mirror finish. Slight flaws occur and are acceptable.
- Minting can be done automatically with continuous quality control, with the dies usually re-polished every 500-1,000 coins. Proof-like minting does not require a CLEAN ROOM or air-conditioning.
