钱币收藏固然不是新晋嗜好，逾20年前霹雳州也曾成立钱币收藏社团，但当时收藏风气不盛，收藏家之间偏向闭关“独修”，许多收藏家也经历起伏跌宕而兴致消散。不过，网络的普及，已经消除了收藏界的许多负面效应，激起一批钱币收藏家重燃意志，通过科技便利广泛交流与及深入做学问，使到收藏爱好的投资风险降到最低。
